Welcome to the Cupcakes With Kindness Blog!
I wanted to add this piece as a way to liven up the website and make it dynamic, with a new blog added every week. I plan to post comments about kindness that I see, hear, or read about online and through television and magazine stories. Features may be about famous or local people, as well as people from around the world.
Some weeks I may feature a kindness-based puzzle, game, lyrics to a new song, or anything else that comes to mind. It will be lots of fun!
Please stay tuned for our 1st blog to be posted sometime over the Memorial Day weekend.
See you then,

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge
I recently heard in an audio clip on the internet the Duchess of Cambridge remarking that when she was growing up, her parents taught her the importance of kindness, respect, and honesty, and how she herself had realized how much these virtues meant to her throughout her life. The Duchess commented on
how important it was for her and her husband to pass these same values down to their own children. The Duke and Duchess send their older two children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte to St. Thomas Battersea School in London, where the first words of the school's motto are: Be kind. The Duchess added that she felt that learning to be kind is just as important as learning math or to play a sport.
In an internet news story, the Duke and Duchess were shown sitting on a bench at Mitchell Brook Primary School in Stonebridge in connection with their charity work. The bench that they were sitting on was called the "kindness bench" and was a place for a student to sit when he or she needed kindness from another student. This arrangement gave the other students the opportunity to come forward and help out.

Josh Groban not only has a golden voice, but also a heart of gold. This comes out so beautifully in the songs that he sings, some of which he wrote himself.
Josh emanates expressions of love and kindness as well as empathy and feeling in his singing. In the song You Are Loved, Josh expresses understanding of a person’s thoughts of wanting to give up due to the weight of the world and yearning to be heard, understood, and loved but that the reality is that he or she is loved and should never give up.
In the song Granted, Josh expresses how short life is and encourages the listeners to chase their dreams and to embrace love when they find it. Josh further expresses through the song’s lyrics the advice to not
waste even a one moment of our precious lives.
